Service procedures in this manual will not differ greatly from those given for similar motors manufactured by, or carrying the manufacturer's brand name. Additionally, parts from other "same year and hp" brands manufactured by Gale Products may in many cases fit your Gale manufactured outboard, including:

FOREWORD:
Although this Service Manual does not cover motors manufactured prior to 1950, the basic instructions for all previous 5 hp. models are essentially the same as described for the 5S10 model. Also, the instructions for the 3D10 and 12810 models would apply to most 3 and 12 hp. models, respectively, manufactured before that time.
We are listing below (see spec pdf) a cross reference index which includes all customer model motors manufactured by Gale Products. As you will notice, the customer model is also identified by the Gale model number, therefore, the instructions in the Service Manual would apply to the various customer models with reference to the Gale model.
